"Knock! Knock!" Remi said.
"Who's there?" Grandma Beth replied.
"It's the big bad wolf." Remi roared.
"What did the three little pigs say?" Grandma Beth asked.
Remi didn't answer.
Grandma Beth continued the story. "The three little pigs said not by the hair of my chinny chin chin."
"I'm the wolf!" Remi pointed to herself.
"But what did the three little pigs say?"
Remi kept pointing to herself and exclaiming, "I'm the wolf!"
"Oh... you want me to be the pig?" Grandma Beth was surprised.
"Yeah. And I'll huff and puff..."
If anybody was going to get eaten in this story... it was not going to be Remi.

No helpless pig... this one! Remi was not about to be a victim! She would play the story on her own terms! Kids are born with strong wills, and they amaze me with their candor and ability to champion their causes. I am filled with admiration for this powerhouse of a toddler. I never stop wondering...
